Our TeamJoel Bell, FLMI President & Partner Joel has 19 years experience managing design, development and support of software in the life & health insurance industry. His experience spans systems for retail agencies, direct carriers and reinsurance companies, developing and supporting internet sales for an independent life and annuity agency to building an internal global intranet for a leading international reinsurance company. This gives him a unique perspective of the methodology, tools and techniques used to develop and manage insurance IT. Joel has a B.A. in philosophy and computer science from the University of Alabama and is a Fellow in the Life Management Institute (FLMI). He and his team are currently working on a reinsurance framework built with leading edge workflow technology that will transform the way business processes and application software are built and integrated in the insurance industry. Michael Shengaout Systems Architect & Partner Michael has 15 years experience developing complex software systems. His experience spans diverse technologies, including Java, Microsoft .NET as well as object oriented analysis and design. Michael has experience managing software development teams of different sizes, in all phases of the software development process. Michael has a B.S. in Computer Science from the Moscow Institute of Management. He holds Sun Certified Java Architect designation. Andriy Shapochka Senior Software Developer Andriy has 10 years experience architecting and developing business process management, engineering, and scientific applications in Microsoft .NET, Java, C++, Python and SQL for US, Polish and Ukrainian companies. In his work Andriy heavily relies on his strong background in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science utilizing algorithms and structures of graph theory, Petri nets, workflow automation theory, and finite automata. He is deeply experienced in the Object Oriented design and programming, mainstream relational databases, and Internet technologies. Andriy holds a Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the Kharkiv National University of Ukraine. Victor Bowman Senior Software Developer Victor has over 10 years experience in the development of insurance and government systems. He has extensive experience in developing and managing security for web-based client, policy and agent management systems. His background includes work in MFC, .NET, ASP and XML programming based upon both Oracle and SQL Server databases. Victor has a B.A. in English Literature from Georgia State and an M.A. in Comparative Literature (ABD) from University of Massachusetts. Mark Y. Fridlyand, MCP Senior Software Developer Mark has over 17 years experience as a software and database management professional. He has extensive experience designing, developing and maintaining databases in support of insurance industry applications. He has played key roles in the technical development of large n-tiered application systems spanning a multitude of technologies over his career. Mark has a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute and has earned database and application certifications from both Microsoft and Oracle. Dimitriy Barabash Graphics Programmer Dimitriy has over 6 years of experience developing C++, and .NET (C#) applications, integrating graphical presentation layers with relational databases. His core expertise lies in GUI development, particularly graphical editors. Dimitriy has B.S. from Kharkov University with a major in Electrical Engineering. Alla Olijnyk Quality Assurance Manager / Webmaster Alla has 7 years experience researching in the field of metrology and development of scientific applications in C++. She also has experience developing internet applications using HTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP/MySQL, design and programming in Flash MX. Alla holds a Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the Kharkiv National University of Ukraine. |
